In March 2015, after three years as an informally run group with no committee, Govanhill Voices became a properly constituted organisation. Thanks to Louise Willson of the community development social enterprise Outside the Box for her help and advice along the way. The group's aims are set out as follows:
1. To provide opportunities for people from all cultures, backgrounds and abilities to learn songs and sing together;
2. To celebrate the diversity and richness of our multicultural society and the value of community;
3. To support community activities, events and fundraising;
4. To nurture and support members’ skills in singing, song leading and other activities.
Here is a copy of the full constitution, ratified on 2 April 2015 and amended June 2020:
